5STARRR

5STARRR is a Rapper and native of Meridian, MS. His interest in doing music started at the age of 10 growing up listening to Pastor Troy and a local rap group GO HARD SQUAD. As a teenager 5STARRR was involved in gang activity and drug dealing which lead to being put out his parent's home at the age of 15. He was then kicked out of both grandparents home for the same reasons leaving him homeless sleeping in cars and house hopping. Once 5STARRR was released from the juvenile detention center in Meridian, MS for the third time, he decided that going to the Army was his only way to escape the troubles of his hometown so that he could provide for his daughter which was born when he was only 16 years old. During his military time he served in the war deploying to Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan making him one of the youngest in America to travel and deploy to three countries in a one year timeframe at the age of 19. He also made his second born daughter, now 6 years old, while serving in Afghanistan. Although he was a soldier, he continued his street hustles while serving the country committing illegal acts to make more money because the military pay wasn't enough for him. 5STARRR fulfilled his three and half year commitment to the military and got out to pursue his dreams of music. June 24, 2014 5STARRR was released from active duty military at Fort Stewart, GA and moved to Atlanta, GA to attend SAE Institute (School Of Audio Engineering) and graduated October 2015 majoring in Audio Technology and Engineering. Til this day he currently records and mixes all of his music himself as well as conducting 100% of his business independently and on his own with no help or management. The summer of 2016 he caught a major wave in his hometown due to the release of a single entitled "Ain't I Da Shit". This was the biggest wave the city had ever seen. Although its been a struggle to make it, he seems to keep pushing with no thoughts of giving up to expand his "Loyal Gang" brand which he formed in 2013 while serving in the military. 5STARRR 's story is unique because he can not only tell you about the streets, he can tell you about the military and trials and tribulations he faced as a soldier in garrison and in the 9/11 war as well.
