About

Thank you so much for being on this journey with me 💜. I'm incredibly excited to share my new album, Here and Now, with all of you. After the introspective path of Return to Silence, I wanted to create something that celebrates the joy, connection, and energy of being fully present. This music is for you—for your own moments of euphoria, for late-night dancing, and for celebrating the simple beauty of being right here, right now. I'm so grateful for your support, and I truly hope these songs find a special place in your world. My debut album, Loving Home (Alternate Universe) is a sonic journey based on a fundamental question. It's a collection of stories about the search for genuine human connection in an increasingly digital and simulated world. -- Aboutak ✨ Review: aboutak, ‘Here and Now (Aurora Echo)’ The enigmatic producer delivers a shimmering, 16-track odyssey that balances four-on-the-floor hedonism with surprising emotional gravity. There is a moment midway through Here and Now (Aurora Echo)—specifically on the track “In A Heartbeat (Everything Has Changed)”—where the mechanical pulse of the drum machine falls away, leaving only a suspension of synth wash and a lonely, looped vocal melody. It is a breath held in the middle of a marathon, a reminder that for all its kinetic energy, aboutak’s latest project is deeply concerned with the fragility of the present moment. Releasing a 16-track LP in an era of two-minute streaming bait is a bold move, but Here and Now justifies its sprawl. Following the more introspective Return to Silence (Aeterna) earlier this year, aboutak has pivoted toward the dancefloor, but he hasn’t checked his emotions at the coat check. This is electronic music that feels designed for the drive home as much as the club peak—music for neon-lit skylines and solitary introspection. The album kicks off with “Light Of Dawn,” a track that functions like a sunrise over a festival ground—slow-building, inevitable, and bathed in warm, analog frequencies. It sets a precedent for the record’s production style: crisp, punchy, but layered with an “Aurora Echo”—a reverberating vastness that gives even the tightest grooves a sense of space. When the album wants to move, it moves. “Four On The Floor” and its later reprise, “Four On The Floor (One, Two, Three),” are unashamed love letters to the foundations of house music. They are rhythmic engines built from sturdy kicks and propulsive basslines, stripped of pretension. Yet, aboutak complicates these bangers with tracks like “Neon Flicker” and “Light It Up (Neon Flicker),” where the production glitches and stutters, suggesting a ghost in the machine or a lightbulb on the verge of burning out. The centerpiece of the record is arguably “Here And Now (Just You And Me).” Clocking in at nearly five minutes, it anchors the album's thematic arc. It’s a track that pleads for presence in a distracted world, utilizing a hypnotic arpeggio that spirals upward, never quite resolving, keeping the listener locked in a state of perpetual anticipation. If there is a critique to be made, it is that the sheer volume of ideas can occasionally feel overwhelming. The transition from the driving “Dance Through The Night” to the weightier “Here And Now (I’m Weightless)” can feel like tonal whiplash. However, the sequencing largely holds together through a consistent sonic palette—a sheen of digital gloss applied to very human feelings. The album closes with “(Beat) In My Heart,” a track that acts as a rhythmic benediction. It brings the journey full circle, grounding the ethereal textures back into the physical body. Here and Now (Aurora Echo) is a testament to the power of electronic music to be both a physical release and a spiritual balm. It is a record about being present, even when the world around you feels like it's dissolving into noise. Key Tracks: “Four On The Floor,” “In A Heartbeat (Everything Has Changed),” “Here And Now (Just You And Me)” November 20th, 2025
