About
Ace1Yoda grew up in Avondale, Cincinnati, where gunshots and sirens scored survival. A latchkey kid, the oldest son of a mother carrying the weight of the world and a father who taught foresight, Ace learned early how life swings between extremes. Inside his home, creativity burned bright, surrounded by siblings who wrote, designed, and created. Ace found his voice in poetry, instruments, and the rhythm of words.
Music didn’t just find him—it claimed him. At his grandmother’s house, headphones on, he studied 2Pac and B.I.G., scribbling verses like sacred scripture. His father’s subs shook the neighborhood; studios thick with smoke and creativity became classrooms. Tragedy struck with the loss of his older brother, but music became his torch, his destiny.
Ace’s first recordings were rough desktop mic sessions, but soon studio time rewarded for good grades showed him where hits were born. His first group, Y.A.O.—Young Age Outlaws—laid tracks at WarriorsLab, M.O.O.D., No Sleep Productions, and The Hot Spot, run by his cousin Sam DuBose, later tragically killed. Making music felt like scoring the winning touchdown: thrill, adrenaline, and mastery.
Life’s extremes shaped him—family violence, hunger, and loss. Music became survival, coping, and catharsis. Even in writer’s block after trauma, when the pen felt heavy, the spark returns—and Ace steamrolls, pouring every ounce of energy into tracks that leave a mark. His sound can’t be boxed: one day rock, another R&B, trap, or lyrical mastery.
Ace has mastered balance, finding the median between razor-sharp lyricism and haunting melodies, using his voice as an instrument, meticulous in every note. Each project marks evolution: Tha FullMetal Alchemist was his first dive into a unique sound; Mentally Unstable, his most complete work; FullMetal Alchemist 2, wings grown; Phantom of Tha Chakra, flight achieved.
Press play, and Ace wants minds blown—what he calls the “eargasm,” where every note and lyric overwhelms the senses. His ultimate goal is freedom, unbound by bills or limits, to uplift his family and collaborators, leaving a legacy of abundance, creativity, and impact.
