Auto Met Grim

Born in Peoria, Illinois, Auto Met Grim’s journey into music was sparked by tragedy and transformed into purpose. In 2023, just a day after his birthday, he lost his older brother Skeeter at the hands of his girlfriend—a loss that changed everything. Skeeter, who had once told Auto he was “living like a real civilian” after turning his life around, became the inspiration that pushed Auto to channel his pain, resilience, and truth into music. After facing setbacks of his own—losing his job, girlfriend, and car—Auto returned to the one thing that had always been there: music. By early 2025, he released his debut album Conversations with My Conscience, a 17-track project that blends UK-inspired production with fluid, soul-reaching melodies. Refusing to write his lyrics down, Auto creates straight from feeling, explaining: “If you put it on paper then it ain’t a part of you no more. Music should come directly from how you’re feeling in that moment.” Later that same year, Auto relocated from Illinois back to Houston, where his grind only intensified. He dropped two breakout EPs—Worry Less, Paid More and LOVE DRUG—cementing himself as a consistent hitmaker with a sound that stands apart in the pluggnb scene. Heavily influenced by Lil Wayne yet carving his own lane, Auto Met Grim is more than just an artist—he’s a storyteller, a prodigy, and proof that pain can be reborn as timeless music.
