About
Avincii, born Avuyile Yekani on 14 October 2003, is a South African singer, songwriter, producer, and creative storyteller whose work blends emotional honesty with modern R&B, pop, and alternative influences. Raised in the Eastern Cape and currently based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Avincii’s artistry is deeply rooted in lived experience, vulnerability, and a strong sense of identity.
He matriculated from Isolomzi Senior Secondary School before pursuing higher education at Nelson Mandela University, where he studied a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies. His academic background informs much of his artistic perspective, shaping his sensitivity to social issues, human behavior, and emotional storytelling.
A true multi-hyphenate, Avincii is both the voice and the architect behind his music. As a producer, he creates immersive soundscapes that allow his lyrics to lead, often exploring themes of love, loss, healing, self-reflection, and personal growth. His recent releases, including Gravity, Tears of Joy, and the album I Love It Here, reflect his evolution into an artist unafraid of vulnerability and emotional depth.
Beyond music, Avincii is actively involved in acting, media, and conceptual storytelling, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to his creative work. Family remains a grounding force in his life—he is one of five siblings, with three brothers and one sister, a dynamic that has shaped his worldview and emotional awareness.
Through every project, Avincii’s mission remains clear: to create art that makes people feel seen, heard, and valued. As he continues to grow his presence locally and internationally, he stands as a voice of a new generation—intentional, reflective, and unapologetically human.
