BENJI FLO Gregory Lamar Chatman Jr (born January 4th,1992),better known by his rap name Benji Flo is an African American rapper from Detroit, Michigan. He is with a Music Label called Acey Music that is located in Atlanta, GA. Early life edit: Benji was raised in the Joy Rd area, an area on the West Side of Detroit that’s well known for crimes and not the best living conditions. Career edit: In 2013, Benji moved to Atlanta to better his music career. At this time he was going by the name of Young Cash, then in 2016 he changed his style and name and became Benji Flo. He quickly started recording tracks, went to open mics, promoted himself and the music label non stop. Benji started seriously considering rap as a career at the age of 15yrs old after being sent back to Detroit away from his family due to a tragic situation. On October 2013, Benji released a mixtape called ''Acey Shit Only'' onto Reverbnation that landed him the #1 ranked local rapper from Detroit, MI. November 2013, Benji left Atlanta, GA to reunite with his family that moved to Middleburge, FL. He may have moved away from where his career was taking off, but that never changed everything he had going for himself. On December 2013, An upcoming producer by the name of Bullis Beats reached out to the owner of Acey Music and wanted Benji Flo plus two others from Acey Music to feature on a mixtape he was putting together. May 2014,Benji moved to Grand Rapids, MI with his dad Gregory Chatman SR. June 2014, Benji was back making music and releasing tracks under Acey Music. July 2014, Benji was back on top Ranked #1 best local rapper from Detroit, MI yet again. March 2016, Benji met a Producer by the name of KING KAUTION in Grand Rapids, MI where he was currently living. From then on he started working on his mixtape "Young Cash MEETS Benji Flo". In the year of 2017, Benji dropped 4 singles from the upcoming mixtape and in the same year he dropped 3 videos. After his song ''JUDGING ME'' nearly reached 10,000 views on YouTube Benji's Social Media sites started to do big numbers. On October 2017, Benji's single ''BEEN DOING IT'' made it to a Producers mixtape ''ROOKIES 2 LEGENDS MIXTAPE SERIES VOL.1''. That quickly got Benji more attention and exposure for his music career. March 2019, Benji Flo is finally ready to release his mixtape ''Young Cash MEETS Benji Flo'' and is still under Acey Music.
