About
Devon “Big Boss Devv“ Stallworth
Cleveland resting at the heart of the Midwest is no stranger to music phenoms and larger-than-life artistic personas. Popularly known as The Sixth City, beneath its hardened exterior is emerging raw, untapped talent just east of the train tracks. Through the years, many artists have lost sight of their hometown roots and assimilated their image based on the sounds playing on the radio. However, Devon Stallworth, widely known as Big Boss Devv, is gaining visibility for his unique sound, branding him the next, best thing to emerge from under the rubble.
His earliest memories trace back to his childhood home on Miles Rd, where it all began for him. The Eastside is where he first discovered a love for music, a love affair that strengthened as he grew out of his adolescence. Later relocating to the Westside, Devv aspired to carve his musical legacy, crediting notable influences such as Future, Jadakiss, Kanye West, and Master P, to name a few. Now on the rise, Devv has since collaborated on wax with hometown heroes Fly Tye, Mont Dawg, Preme, Ray Jr, and lastly, Bandana Biker Boy, whom he credits for “bringing him out of the shadows.” Artists aside, a stamp of recognition is reserved for Ron “Ron C” Mellow, a close friend who offered unwavering support that served as fuel to keep Devv determined throughout the years.
Above all else, feedback serves as motivation for Devv. The excitement associated with hearing his music through the speakers or the traction gained on social media outlets when he knows he has got a hit on his hands. Rich raps skate over hard, bass-knocking beats; this is just the beginning of a new Cleveland music expansion. With Cleveland on his back, Big Boss Devv is ready to show the world what it really means to "be bossed up."
