About
Ted’s Big Adventure is mostly just a girl, a dog named Ted, a handful of melodies, and a lifetime of stories you might not believe—unless you’ve slept in tents across the U.S. and cleaned churches for gas money.
Raised in campgrounds with Neil Diamond as a lullaby and an old blue pickup as her chariot, she grew up under open skies, near VA hospitals, and in the orbit of two wildly talented (and fiscally disastrous) parents. Her father—a soda-can-welding Marine with a love for poetry and impromptu Shakespeare in the park—was a little mad, entirely magical, and gone too soon. Before he left, he passed down something priceless: creativity, grit, and an imagination that refuses to behave.
Life got interesting after that. Marriage to the best part of her. A son. Chaos, sorrow, joy, and the kind of beauty you only notice when you’ve lived a little too hard. Interesting is where Ted’s Big Adventure lives.
Her debut album, Fractured Light (coming soon—promise), is a folksy heart-punch through love, grief, survival, and the strange thoughts you assume belong only to you—until someone sings them out loud. Every song she writes begins with Barbara—handwritten, original lyrics, original melodies, fully copyrighted—performed by an AI ensemble as a modern instrument in the storytelling produced and crafted by Barbara. Sometimes it’s tender. Sometimes it’s joyful. Sometimes it hits you right in the chest. Kind of like life.
She writes for the ones who’ve loved deeply, lost boldly, and laughed anyway. For the ones still figuring it out. And if this adventure ever turns a profit, every penny goes toward mental health awareness—in honor of the people she misses most.
As for Ted: he’s the small, fluffy CEO of the operation and accepts payment exclusively in cheese.
