About

Brian Angel is a Houston, Texas native who discovered a talent for singing at the tender age of three. With influences from Prince, Jodeci, Michael Jackson and more, Brian Angel began his music career at 14-years-old when his singing group was given a record deal. Shortly after signing to the label, sadly the company folded leaving them in search of their next opportunity. Eventually, they met and joined Matthew Knowles’s record label Music World Entertainment and were given the opportunity to open for Destiny’s Child, toured with Ginuwine, Jagged Edge, Avant, Joe, and Brian McKnight. After seven years with Mr. Knowles, the group felt it was time to venture out and decided to part ways. In 2007, Brian Angel was a contestant on MTV’s hit reality show “Making the Band” for the chance to receive a recording deal on Sean “P.Diddy” Combs’s record label Bad Boys Entertainment. His persistence to succeed and his passion for singing allowed “Diddy” and spectators to see the unlimited potential within Brian. His determination awarded him a spot in the male R&B group called Day 26. Day 26 went on to be a huge sensation with their debut album peaking at number one in 2008 and their sophomore at number two the following year on the “Billboard 200” chart and both peaking at number one on the “Billboard R&B/Hip Hop” chart. Day26 continued their success by winning “Best Male Group” at the 2009 BET Awards and earning nominations at The American Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and NAACP Image Awards. Unfortunately nothing lasts forever and in July of 2012 Day 26 agreed to dismember the group to focus on their individual careers. A devoted Brian Angel, now back as a solo artist, is bringing back those genuine soulful sounds of R&B to his fans. With his raw style yet entertainingly pleasurable music, Brian is currently focused on working on his album entitled "THE WHOLE TRUTH"-inspired by Brian’s real life scenarios. His first single “AWESOME”, Showcases a more mature Brian Angel then what everyone's familiar with.... When asked about his album, Brian was quoted to say, “ I plan on continuing to work hard on my project. It means so much to me. I'll be performing as well, but right now my main focus is recording and putting together a great project”. This solo artist plans on incorporating the key elements he feels R&B is missing on his album through collaborations with writers such as Traxx Sanders and producers Nic K3yboarrdkid, Black Xipher, Johnny Stokes & Crazy T to name a few that demonstrate uniqueness.
