About
Born and raised in Savannah, GA, Calvin Ford has been writing music since the age of 14 and playing instruments since the age of 5. Calvin is a self-taught pianist and drummer. He learned how to play the alto saxophone in band and was mentored by his family in singing. His sound is soulful, powerful and straight from the heart. His music is inspired by God, his grandfather (Joseph Brack, Sr.), parents and family. His music is not heavy gospel. CJ calls it True Gospel “Life Music” because he feels like the world is the church while the church is trying to be the world. CJ’s music embodies true life scenarios that are based around God’s love.
