About

AZ.U.RE (formerly known as CB97_Espresso)is not just an artist; he is the architect of a sprawling, multilingual cinematic universe. Operating at the intersection of global pop, alternative R&B, heavy metal, and high-octane trap, his discography is a psychological theatre that seamlessly crashes traditional Indian classical structures into modern, neon-lit chaos. Fluidly blending English, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Korean, his music transcends linguistic barriers to deliver deep, conceptual storytelling laced with a sharp, uncompromising "Rockstar Chic" aesthetic. His 2026 release calendar operates as a meticulously directed narrative. The journey began in April with the debut EP, Velvet Overdrive. This project established an era of untethered confidence and peak power—the sonic embodiment of a king sitting comfortably at the absolute height of his ego. However, that untouchable peak was beautifully shattered with the May release of Maya Raagam. A sprawling, 10-track cinematic tragedy steeped in grief and sweeping orchestral heartbreak, the album saw the protagonist violently dethroned. It replaced the swagger of the debut with profound ancient lore, burning sorrow, and heavy Carnatic fusion, leaving the empire entirely in ashes. Before the dust can fully settle, June brings a grounding breath of reality with the dual-single BARE. Released in honor of both Pride Month and International Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, this project breaks the fourth wall of his complex lore. BARE strips away the heavy cinematic armor and grandiosity to offer an unfiltered, deeply intimate look at identity, vulnerability, and the quiet battles fought behind closed doors. It is a moment of pure humanity amidst the theatricality. Following this clarity, the system begins to crash. Mid-July marks the definitive end of his current persona with the 8-track transition album, CB97: TERMINAL. This project is a literal and psychological system breakdown. Moving from sarcastic cyberpunk trap to bouncy street-Kuthu, pausing for quiet acoustic gratitude, and ultimately descending into blistering metal-trap chaos, the album tracks the glitching collapse of a fractured mind. The mirror shatters, the old identity dies, and the screen goes black. It is the permanent shutdown of CB97_Espresso. From that darkness, a new empire is forged. September brings the highly anticipated full-length album Regal Defiance and the official coronation of the new moniker: AZ.U.RE. This is the unapologetic, high-stakes villain era. If Velvet Overdrive was unbothered ego, Regal Defiance is a sharper, dangerous, highly calculated dominance born from surviving the abyss. Draped in grunge-luxe and dark academia, the king takes his throne back. This commanding momentum will carry directly into the late-year release of the darker, winter-hued EP, Altar on my blood. AZ.U.RE does not just drop tracks; he engineers worlds, burns them to the ground, and rebuilds them in gold. The terminal is closed. AZ.U.RE is loading.
