THE MUSIC HISTORY OF CEO MELLO
Romello Brooks, professionally known as CEO Mello is a 19 year old American rapper and songwriter who was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born in North Memphis, specifically in the Hyde Park neighborhood in the University Court Apartments where his grandmother and step-grandfather lived at, including his oldest sister, his mother, and the rest of his family. When he was three years old, him and some of the family members relocated to the nearby Hollywood community which is also another North Memphis neighborhood (where the majority of his mom side of the family come from). This is also where he comes from and spent most of his childhood at despite being born in Hyde Park. CEO Mello started his music career when he was 11 years old, but started taking it seriously as becoming a songwriter at age 14. In 2020, he joined UnitedMasters for musical purposes (when he was then known as Pro Bro). Despite being an unsigned artist, CEO Mello owns a rap group called CEO Mello Entertainment (CME), which was named after him. However, he uses the group as a copyright to protect his music. The first song CEO Mello wrote was ''My Glocc'' featuring fellow unsigned rapper Lil LP. It was released on February 28, 2021 on YouTube Music and all other platforms on March 1. It was also added as the second track on the RETURN OF CEO MELLO album, as a reloaded version. However, the original track was not released through UnitedMasters, it was released through a music license platform called Songtradr. Despite it not being released through UnitedMasters, it still remained under the rights of CEO Mello Entertainment (which is an imprint owned by CEO Mello).
