About
Born Charleston Brendon on September 29, 1990 in Cheverly, MD. Artist CHARLESTVN has always had eyes on him even at a young age born with an identical twin brother. As a kid he got his start in acting and singing with the Tantallon Community Players Performing Arts Center. Performing on stage was always something that came natural which is why joining the choir at his church was a no brainer.
As time went on he also found love in instruments and began to further his craft with the Surratsville High School Marching Band under the direction of Valerie C. Dent. After graduating High School in 2009 he enrolled at P.G. Community College for Theater and in 2012 Montgomery College majoring in English, but found little success in the academics because his passion evolved into Modeling.
In 2015 Charleston enlisted in the United States Army just as his grandfather did before him and served honorably for years. After leaving the Army he fell back into his craft of writing poetry and for a while committed to Open Mic Nights at Bus Boys and Poets in Washington, DC.
As the Pandemic hit in 2020 tragedy hit and his father passed away from Heart Failure and Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. For a time this had gravely impacted Charleston but he turned all his pain into poems and all his poems evolved into lyrics which became songs of pain, passion, and self-reflection.
In 2021, Charlestvn released music on the SoundCloud platform under the “CarePackage” Title.
This summer the single “LOST/intro” is set to be released embodying a culmination of hurt, passion, and honesty with oneself.
