Chillz

Charles K. Beckles, who is also known as Chillz, was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in Bed-Stuy housing apartments. Chillz was introduced to the music business at a very early age of 9 years old. He traveled with his father to various studios and observed the process of recording music and songs. Chillz started writing his own lyrics and recorded his first song at the age of 12. He grew up with a love for music. He has been around many seasoned artists and producers the majority of his life. He then developed his own creative style at the age of 14 and continues to write for himself. Being in the studio around many others at an early age, has had a very positive influence on him and help mode him into the artist he is today. He has always been the youngest in the studio and has always took notice to what was going on around him. Chillz always took into consideration what his elders had to go through and as of a result of this, he is a much better artist and person overall. Chillz started his music career with of Off The Block Entertainment in the year 2003. He has proved his loyalty time and time again, to the point he even has tattooed the logo onto his persons. Chillz recorded and released his first project, "The Lifestyle of the Young & Wreckless" in year of 2005. The response from the public was so overwhelming with a major demand for Chillz to deliver his, “Headed 4 The Top” mixtape series. Which he released 2 volumes of. Chillz has appeared on several public access shows within the Tri-State area, such as “Street Knowledge,” “Uncensored Hip Hop,” and “How to Get A Deal” just to name a few. He received such a positive response from Red Bandit’s show How to Get A Deal, he was asked to return three weeks straight. Chillz has performed at many nightclubs throughout the state Connecticut and New York, i.e., Speed Night Club, The Billie Holiday Theatre in Brooklyn, NY, and even The Hip Hop Parade which is an annual function held in Brooklyn, NY. In addition, he has been featured on a host of Mix Tapes. Chillz has worked and recorded records with Tek (Smif & Wessun), Snagdadon (Bounce Squad), Nino Man, Lil Cease (Junior Mafia), Flash, Royal Flush, Jadakiss, and the late Black Rob. Chillz has developed his own imprint and brand titled, Young G Musik (YGM). He has released independent projects, a trilogy, YGM 1, 2, and 3 on his own, which is on every streaming platform available. He is currently in the process of working on another project with Culture Pushaz Collective (CPC) along with Flash and Lil Cease and a host of others. Chillz receives much respect from his peers and friends as both a true artist and a young man. His peers feel that he has an edge on the competition including those already signed to label deals, just for the simple fact he’s young and energetic.
