i go by chovolo, but that name is more than mine, it’s a frequency. it means butterfly fly; a symbol of transformation, freedom, and divine evolution. i was born and raised in south miami-dade county, an afro-puerto rican, raised by rhythm and resilience. hip hop raised me, saved me, and gave me a voice when i didn’t know how to speak truth. i don’t believe in limits. not in love, not in expression, not in possibility. i believe in truth, transformation, and making something eternal out of this fleeting life. i’m chovolo. butterfly fly.
