Chris Denton

In 2017, I found myself standing in the wreckage of my life after having laid waste to my marriage, my career, my friendships, and my sanity in an orgy of self-destruction brought on by an especially severe and extended mental/emotional/spiritual breakdown. I could see that the only way forward was uncompromising authenticity and radical acceptance- I also could see the depth of my predicament when I realized that I clearly had no idea what either authenticity or acceptance were at all. And that is when my art came to me, it was my path and my salvation. Piece by piece, the fire that burned in the deepest parts of me poured out in urgent expression, demanding naked vulnerability as it began to teach me to see. Piece by piece, it taught me authenticity and required acceptance no matter how much my inner judgement raged. Piece by piece, I learned how to hear my heart and how to truly love myself and everything else. I'm Chris Denton, and I'm grateful to share my art and myself with you.
