Conscience

The journey for Conscience also known as (Colby) begins in 2020 – a rapper, singer, and songwriter—emerging from the Houston-area. With Independent singles and albums, Such as: Where To (2020), It’s My Time (2021), Rookie Season (2022), Sweetie (2022), Spring Break (2022), Sunset (2022), The Drive Part I (2022), and the latest release Mind Traveling (2022). Conscience was Inspired by J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Nate Dogg, and Tobe Nwigwe of the worlds. After a short period of enrollment at HCC, Colby established a collective sound of swagger modern hip-hop anthems and also a melodic R&B-oriented element to his sound. Conscience portrays though his music someone who is down for a good and fun time, but also music that one could vibe to while driving/riding in the car, rolling a blunt, and while having a drink. He does typically try to go for the mood that most people can relate to from a weekly basis and/or the weekends. Conscience understands that the youth audience is one that thrives with music that fits the video game environment. Conscience audience is a wide range form of all ages from as young middle schoolers to as old as fifty-year-old adults. Conscience definitely makes a lot of different diversities of music such as introspective, Storytelling, mental health awareness, love, and heartbreak. The goal for Conscience is to paint a picture to make the listener think but also to display to the listeners that there is relatability from them to him as an artist. Conscience is currently working on a project titled “Family Ties” in an attempt to express to his listeners that family means a lot to him, but also express his upbring and the things he’s experienced over the years until 2023. As an individual artist and person Colby has grown more comfortable to being one with himself and finding a balance on when to go full throttle and when to step on the brake and breathe. Of course, Conscience wouldn’t be where he currently is without the help of other people within this music industry, family, and his team. Conscience has many goals from Billboard Top 100 to Muti- Grammy Award winner, one of his longevity goals is to be mentioned with the greats such as Jay Z, Bigge, Tupac, UGK, and etc. His latest project, which is set to release later in the year (September or October) testes the limits of production and collaboration that Conscience feels is a great challenge for himself. While also pushing his writing skills to another level and allowing his listeners to hear more of his rapping ability but still keeping that same melodic sound that they love. Family Ties allows his listeners to get to know who he as a person, his perspective on life and also allowing them to have a glance into how Conscience got to where he is today by throwing timelines and backstories. Colby looks forward to farthing his growth as an artist and to continue to push his skillset. In the near by future Conscience will look to collaborate with more artist and to explore many different path within music. Who knows what the industry has to offer to an artist like Conscience, He’s off to an amazing start to his career and he can only keep climbing.
