Independent recording artist Brandon Bishop AKA Cyphersick has finally returned to the music scene in Chicago after a 7-year hiatus. Most people in the music business will tell you that “consistency is key and stopping momentum for even a moment can be fatal to one’s career”, but what is even more important is to never let the fire for your dreams die. Cyphersick started in this business at the age of 14, had an agent named Reginald Scott aka Quest by the age of 16 and was signed to Chicago based independent label D.U.B. L.I.F.E. Entertainment by the age of 17, but has since parted with the label and returned to being a free agent. Cyphersick is a lyricist at his core, and this is reflected in his style of Rap/Hip-Hop. Growing up in Chicago in the area that is broadly known as the “Low End” to Chicago natives has heavily influenced him as a person as well as an artist, which is translated throughout his music. Over the years his talent has gained the attention of music industry figures such as DJ SMALLZ, Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, A&R Hits and Slip N Slide Records just to name a few. Cyphersick leaves an impression on anyone that hears his music and/or witnesses his live performances. He has had the honor of performing at open mic events across Illinois & Indiana, Columbia College, and even at the first two Midwest Rappers Ball held in Chicago. The biggest show he has had the opportunity to be a part of was the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota; this opportunity was earned through his music charting in the top 100 on Biz-Zar internet radio station for almost a year. After years of hustling on the streets and struggling as a starving artist, he made the difficult decision of taking a reprieve from pursuing music for a while and began to focus on his everyday life. In that time, he has had a successful career in the world of customer service and as an IT Support Technician for multiple companies over the years. These successful ventures have given him the opportunity and resources to begin traveling the country and expanding his perspective on life as a whole; this is also represented in his music of today. The now 31-year-old rap sensation is back with a vengeance with his new single “$urvivor” featuring Henny Roxx & Ace G $M.I.E.$; this song heralds the return of the Low End’s best kept secret. Released on September 15th, this record is continuing to garner stellar reviews from both fans and music peers. Like most of Cyphersick’s music, this record is a story of the trials and tribulations that he faced in the streets growing up and the life lessons learned from those experiences. During his lengthy hiatus from the music scene, his love and passion for both music and being a voice for the voiceless has intensified and he is now back to make sure everyone remembers his name. While traveling, he has had the opportunity to network with major talent artists from both the East and West coast and is building organic relationships with people who have inspired him his entire career.
