Born in East St. Louis, but raised on the west side of Chicago, Darrion Turner has always had a love for music. As well as being influenced by such artists as J. Cole, Wale and Big Sean, growing up his mom would make him go to church and he would regularly sing in gospel choirs while his dad would expand his knowledge in hip hop. Ready to make an impact in the world of hip hop he chose the name D²RekLes combining his soulful nature from gospel and his rough and gritty demeanor from hip hop music. Currently he has released three projects and is due to release a single titled “Westside Steppa” on August 25th, 2023
