Da Great

Da Great is a versatile rapper who has achieved several self records. He spent time in Woodland’s trenches before getting a chance at making hits. Still in his late teens, the rapper left woodland and began releasing tracks while still unsigned and without management. Born in 2005 and raised in the rough City Of Trees neighborhood of northern Woodland, Da Great was rapping by the time he was a teenager but it wasn't until his breakout single, "where are you now?," that things really started to take off. The emotional song was written when DG was in high-school, and once he had the chance , he recorded it, which immediately caught the attention of several. Sometimes leaning more into rap styles and sometimes tending toward more sung R&B, Da Great’s approach has shifted from song to song. The spare and melancholy "SAGE" single appeared next, and in June 2021 his debut full-length, Is It Too Much To Ask For?, arrived. The album was well-received both critically and commercially, cracking at the emotion of fans and collecting glowing press. He released a new single, "Understand," within a month of his Album coming out. Second studio album “Luv 4 Rent” was issued in May 2022. The record included guest spots from rappers like, @Steph King , and Tonysteeze as well as production on highlight tracks from Miroow and Valious. The song "Desperate” arrived in September 2023, setting the scene for the release of Da Great's 16th studio album “Love Is Pain”.
