Daṣo

Daṣo is a Nigerian-American singer-songwriter whose multicultural upbringing has profoundly shaped his music. Born in the US and raised in Lagos, Daṣo grew up in a musically inclined household, where a variety of music was appreciated and enjoyed. This eclectic background has influenced his musical journey and sound which is best described as a dynamic blend of Afrobeats, Pop, Hip Hop, and RnB. Daṣo released his debut single, "JARA," in February 2024, quickly generating a strong buzz worldwide. The track amassed hundreds of thousands of streams across various platforms, inspired over 10,000 TikTok creations, and received consistent airplay on radio and television across Africa —all within just six months of its release. Building on this success, Daṣo released his second single, "LEKKI," which garnered over 100,000 streams within the first few weeks, and his most recent single “Kiloshele”, which gained a lot of support from listeners and playlist curators from different parts of the world. Daṣo is focused on making music and building a community. His music expresses his perspective on life; it reflects his experiences, relationships, moods, and more. His goal is to create art that truly resonates with people and transcends age, ethnicity, and language.
