Born in Misawa, Japan to Military parents, Darko spent a few years growing up in “Suburban” Utah before moving down to the “Dirty South” where his parents are from, fully embracing his families deep Southern roots. Growing up with 3 older siblings and younger brother, Darko picked up his love for music hanging around them and listening to what his siblings listened to.
While in high school, Darko fell in love with the production of J Dilla, Kanye West, Madlib, Tyler, The Creator, Clams Casino, DJ Premier, Timbaland, and more, meeting with different kids who had the same love for production, song-writing, and freestyling. Based out of Gotham City (actual location unknown), Darko NA$iR’s sound is diverse, and he shows it in his production. From Pop to Phonk, from smooth and ambient to down right uncomfortable. He doesn’t want to be boxed in, he’s always aiming for a new unique sound, and to be on the up and up. More like a vigilante to the game more than a superhero, note to the Gotham City reference, Darko NA$iR is a dual threat archetype that’s pretty difficult to contain.
