Di@lect (born Otis M Thomas Jr on March 18, 1981) is a hip-hop artist from Hampton, Virginia. He is currently signed to Soulmate International Entertainment and currently has an Album “Eminent Thought”, available on all digital platforms. He also has the singles ,3 Nightmare, Addiction ,and Father also available on all digital platforms.

Dialect is the son of parents who worked in a shipyard in Newport News, Virginia. He began rapping at the young age of 13. Prior to rapping, he enjoyed drawing and writing stories. Now, Dialect enjoys writing songs and technology.
He describes his style as “real life rap”, delving into everyday situations that he has experienced in his life. He has been influenced by such artists as Jay-Z, AZ, Nas, Foxy Brown, UGK, Ludacris, Jadakiss, Curren$y, Snoop Dogg ,Lady Luck, Stazmatic and Fysical his labelmates. He has dreams of collabrating with the likes of Joe Budden, Lady Luck, Curren$y, Twista, Bun B., T.I., Jay-Z, Nas, Memphis Bleek, and Bow Wow. Aside from working on his own music, Di@lect has worked on music with Aville, TG, Shawn Black and Mackadenice to name a few.
