A rapper from Memphis that go by DkDaShoota. His real name is Derrick Bates Jr and was born May 19th 2001. He is from Memphis Tn and an upcoming rapper. He lost his father when he was 4 months old and he was raised in south Memphis with his grandmother. He joined the US Army when he was 17 and deployed after basic training. After his first deployment he caught interest into music and began rapping. Unfortunately Derrick got got deployed again but that didn’t stop his hustle. Even though he was deployed he still maintained to keep releasing music and grew followers up to 189k on Instagram. Derrick stated his goal by the end of 2022 is to get signed and be one of the biggest freshman artist! For as of now he is an independent artist that’s associated with a label called “4QG(4th Quarter Gang)” He’s hoping soon that someone would recognize his talent and sign him. Derrick stated it would be a pleasure.
