Don Boogie

On July 16,2003 In the city of Plainfield, NJ Dante’ N. Royster (Don Boogie) was born. Living with his Grandmother at the time with his younger brother. At the age of 8 both Dante and his younger brother moved in with there mother and 2 younger sisters in Brooklyn, NY. Dante says “it was a big change for me and my little brother”. Dante says “Music was his part of life, I always fell in love with music. Music was the only thing that could keep me focused as I constantly was getting in trouble in school.” Dante changed a course in life as his mother felt that himself and his siblings growing up in New York would impact there future so they set off for Woodbridge, Virginia. Dante says “It was a huge change moving here”. Moving to Virginia was just the Beginning of Don Boogie. Dante would freestyle in the cafeteria 8th grade year and got the name D Money as a nickname. By 9th grade year Dante was constantly free-styling almost everyday to Beats On YouTube. He then released a remix of Dave East & Fallen Song which was making a name for himself around Osborn Park as students realized he could rap. By 10th grade year Dante started releasing his music as it caught other’s attention, and with no Rap name he could think of Dante combined his name and his favorite artist New York Rapper A- Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and resulted as “Don Boogie”. Dante says “It was a roller coaster, my bruvahs and I took an L in 2019 and it’s sad to not have my bruvah here with us but we know he up there having fun, we are going to be lit with him soon”. With the passing of a close friend Dante set a course that will have him and his other close friends eating Lobsters and shrimp for a lifetime. Dante says “There’s no hate in my heart I want to see others fulfill there dreams so I have no problem helping them out”. We hope to get more in this Bio of Rapper Don Boogie as we look forward to him going into the year of 2020. Hope to see new accomplishments from him.
