About

Draumr, an ancient Norse term for 'dream', is the evocative brainchild of the French musician, producer, and director, Gabriel Cheurfa. He crafts an immersive experience, blending dream pop, glo-fi, chillwave, and downtempo sounds with surrealistic and spellbinding visuals. With each note and frame, Draumr weaves a poignant tapestry that bridges the void between dreams and vestiges of days gone by. Draumr’s first two EPs, Nefelibata (2015) and Ethereal Mildness (2018) – the latter being mixed by the renowned French producer Stéphane 'Alf' Briat – are a kaleidoscope of hues and emotions. His seminal album, Drawn-Out Daydream (2020), takes listeners on a heartfelt odyssey. Immersing us in its multifaceted realm, the album establishes a momentary respite, intertwining reality with dreams. On his forthcoming album, he takes us on a voyage that emanates the warmth and stillness of an evanescent carefree summer. This sonic landscape evokes an inner, distant voice, echoing a tangible yet surreal dream in an oddly familiar place. As the sun fades into the horizon, time seems to circle among the songs, interwoven with the sounds of waves crashing on the seashore and the choir of seagulls, enveloping you in a hypnagogic state. A solar avant-pop odyssey about peace of mind, love, and understanding, guaranteed to touch the hearts of all who experience it.
