Eric D Franklin

I am Eric D Franklin born in Houston Texas and the baby of 4 sisters and 1 brother. I feel in love with music at a young age when I first attempted to sing happy birthday for my 1st grade teacher, in which I got the response to sing another song request. Fuel by the response I then developed a passion for singing. I ended up getting into my church choir as I got older and loved to sing regularly. Because my voice had not fully developed yet, I would sometimes get told to shut up. Sometimes discouraged by it. I promised myself that I would never stop singing and would work hard to become better. In high school I was invited to a local studio. Amazed by the experience. I decided that music was what I wanted to do and I wanted to learn everything I can about the entire process . To my excited my cousin ended up building a mini studio and invited me over to show me the studio and his process. I remember going over there frequently and staying up over night messing around with the recording program. I would spend hours in that studio and when in there. It was if time would completely stop. At 18 I ended up leaving Houston and relocated to Salem Oregon where I would finally build my own home studio. I would spend hours of researching and applying what I found. My understanding started to really grow. I spent the next decade building my understanding and processes. Eventually people started to take notice to my sound and recordings. Eventually I started to allow people to come record to help me get more hands on practice. As the years passed my studio started to grow as I would invest money into it to expand my studio. Fast forward to now. I’ve successfully been able to build and commercial grade professional studio and have built great credibility in the community as a engineer/artist/and producer. I’ve developed my myself to a professional level that now I feel I can peruse being a artist and performer and put music out into the commercial market.
