Fila Philippe

Rapper/Songwriter Fila Philippe Is one of the many local rap artists currently residing in the Southeast Houston,Texas region. His music varies from Pop, Rap/hiphop, to R&B touching sounds from the South, Midwest , West And East Coasts. Viewers from all across the globe are intrigued to hear his unique southern drawl of melodic rap and raw lyricism. With his versatile catalog of music and an ever growing number of followers Fila Philippe is ready to bring his talents to the world stage! Philippe was born & raised to local poet Leatrice Butler(Quiet Storm) and Late local Artist/CEO Micheal James (Fila Mic) in West Texas City, Texas. Inspired by the music taste of his parents and grandparents and Growing up witnessing acts such as Kriss Kross,Immature, naughty by nature & digital underground Philippe realized early on where he wanted to be. Philippe began writing and recording on karaoke machines at age 7. At age 13 he would be introduced to the PC microphones along with the Acid Planet recording software before finally graduating to Protools Studio Software. Phillipe began to release his music through MySpace and SoundClick. He is musically inspired by many, but most by Kevin Gates, Drake, Prince, Micheal Jackson, & Houston’s own Z-ro. Fila Philippe’s talent as a song writer began to bud in Houston out of which his 2019 freshman project arose - ‘It’s On!’, which was made possible with the engineering of The Lab45 Recording Studios. He also released his sophomore more gruesome project -‘Missing In Action’ later that same year. He is currently closing out ‘Tajh Debarge’ which would make his third composition set to release Late December 2022.
