About

Flairr Amalii is a Nigerian performer, producer, rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born John-Louis Okoh Amalii to Idoma parents, he was raised in Jos, Nigeria. His viral single, "Bullion Van," gained significant traction in Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, generating a buzz that is poised to fully launch his music career. "Bullion Van" blends elements of afroswing, afrobeats, and rap, creating a unique medley of hip-hop and afrobeats that signals a new phase in Nigerian music. Flairr describes himself as an "oddball" and a "popular loner," admitting to a lifelong struggle to fit in. Conversely, he regards himself and his fans as "Demigodds, the first children of God." The success of "Bullion Van" triggered "a mental change," demonstrating that he could embrace his quirky personality while producing music that resonates with himself and his audience. Flairr began his music career at 15, releasing his first song with longtime friend and business partner, Smokey, in 2015. Together, they formed the group "Lemaraq Music" and continued to record until Flairr became dissatisfied with the low production quality of his music by local producers. This dissatisfaction motivated Flairr to learn music production independently, utilizing Smokey's laptop and a cracked version of Cubase Studio (for which Smokey sacrificed his phone). After years of releasing mixtapes, Flairr decided to rent a studio space. Despite limited knowledge and experience, relying solely on his musical taste and determination, Flairr produced numerous mixtapes, consistently releasing music while refining his sound, style, and technique. In 2024, Flairr and Smokey launched the talent management company and record label, 37Wolfgang. Under 37Wolfgang, Flairr released "Bullion Van," which garnered over 200,000 on-demand streams within its first five months. This momentum and Flairr's unwavering drive led to a joint venture between Flairr Amalii and UnitedMasters Music Africa, a subsidiary of UnitedMasters New York, for his future releases.
