Freesmoak

FreeSmoak is the artist name of Malik Roberts, a young recording artist from Upstate NY. His family always knew he had a knack for music from an early age, his first words not being 'mama' or 'dada' but actually trying to sing the words to a popular song on the radio. He took up instruments growing up, learning how to play the cello, violin, viola, as well as the guitar, drums and piano. FreeSmoak says he mixes a lot of his background into his music through the lyrics, instruments and sounds used in the making of his final projects. While still not a household name FreeSmoak has worked with many artist including Omelly, Chinx Drugz, Mary J Blige, Rod Wave, Dave East, Wale and more and hopes to one day work with his musical idol, the legendary Jay-Z. He has drawn a loyal fan base locally as well as oversea with hits like "Keisha" through his use of catchy melodies and phrases. -Marisa Mendez(HipHopDX)
