Gold Gillis

Ashford Coffee aka, Gold Gillis was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi. At an early age, he learned how to turn negative criticism into creating positive energy. While attending Church he admired his talented family members and gained interest in performing arts, theatre, and sports. He was inspired by Michael Jackson, Al Green, David Ruffin, Bobby Womack, Anthony Hamilton, Jamie Foxx, and Trey Songz. Over the years he has enjoyed sharing the stage with various legendary artists and trendsetters. In 2020, he joined a partnership with Grammy Award-winning Producer Rev. Slim at "G-Town Sound LLC". They both commenced their ideas and gained exposure in the Southern Soul Music Industry. In 2023 Gold Gillis was signed to “Rockslandon Entertainment” prior to launching his independent label "Golden Era Entertainment" as the Founder, CEO, Director, Songwriter, Recording Artist, Marketing Manager, and Booking Agent. To date he has had three songs on the Southern Soul Music Charts which elevated his International Spotify fan base to over 1 Million total streams! In April 2024, his name was listed on a State Proclamation For Mississippi being named the birthplace of Southern Soul Music. Gold Gillis has expanded his career to Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, and South Carolina. His main goals include keeping God first, taking care of his family, and expanding his music career. Gold Gillis plans to collaborate with artists and continue to create good music for his loyal fans. He is preparing to release his upcoming EP “Countryfied” through his record label.
