The Greensboro born, stone mountain raised, artist that is Gya' (formerly Gya' the artist) has taken a more positive and more love driven sound with his approach to music. He makes it a point to see to it that people must pronounce his name right “it’s pronounced JAH” as he often has to say for people just catching on to his music. The bouncy, melodic, playful sound that he incorporates comes from his natural speech as some say he speaks as if he’s making music in mid sentence. His ability to express himself with a more gospel/tribal driven tone comes from his “well spent time in the church” as he puts it. In more recent years he was able to modify and find a sound and create a foundation after moving to Virginia and creating a groundbreaking footprint alongside the members of Vibes Going Viral. Now he is taking a bigger stride with his solo career and making it known that he has a message of light and positivity to give to us all!
