About
Influenced by Drakeo the Ruler Hablame Jesus intertwines Dark Trap with Indigenous Aesthethics, 80's Horror Films, Classic Oldies, and Latin America Pop Culture. Named after his father Jesus Luna was born in Colima, Mexico and shortly after was brought to The United States like most early childhood arrivals. He was raised in The San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, California during the peak and evolution of street gangs and Chicano culture. Heavily surrounded and influenced by the violence, drugs, graffiti art, and ambition he refused to be yet another statistic. With his unique delivery he has the freedom to experiment sonically and tends to exercise more on creating texture for his lyrics. His descriptive writing feels like a cinematic narrative. You can catch references to his background but he tends to focus more on being witty, women, having a good time, and superficial topics for his subject matter. I take my existence and beliefs very serious but there's already too many rappers recycling the same concepts, I want to bring diversity instead of another stereotype to this industry".
