Georgia/Tennessee -based rapper, HeartBreakJ takes a serious approach to his lyrics, wanting to convey the truth about his struggles and lifestyle. 
 Born in 1999, he was exposed to a lot of music growing up, with his mother and father playing records around the house and his father being in a singing group called “Genuine”. After his parents divorced, he moved in with his mother, while he continued to pursue his dream of playing basketball professionally. At 17, he decided to quit basketball after being cut and he was inspired to pick the mic up. His debut single, 2019's "About Myself," showed a lot of pain within the words he said. However, a series of depression made him into the artist he is today. Soon after he graduated high school in Augusta, Georgia he enrolled in college. He was not completely distracted from creating new music. This resulted in three mixtapes in 2020, Pain and Suffering , Mixed Emotions, and Heart In Tha Booth, which is his newest EP out now.
