My name is Hollie Allen (yes my real name). Due to my journey of enlightenment, i decided to change my stage name. I am a Hip-Hop Artist/MC based out of Upstate NY putting my stamp on the game one day at a time. I WILL leave my mark in the world and you WILL remember my name! I’m the 3rd Hollie in my family, making me pretty unique (Atleast I like to think so). As soon as you see my name pop up you automatically think of a female, until you hear me jump on a track with a versatile flow, passionate energy and witty spiritual rap lyrics. I believe my name alone gets people talking, so it kind of already gives me some type of leverage. Whether it be good talk or bad, it doesn’t matter because at least they’re still talking. This is why I decided to run with my name around 2015, also this way I could be my absolute self, no gimmicks, no mask, just me. Before then, I used to go by Charlie Styles which you could probably find some of my earlier tracks on SoundCloud. So don’t be afraid to dig! I encourage it actually! I grew up around Hip-Hop & R&B so it only makes sense that I started rapping at around 9 or 10 years old. I’d never really announce it to anyone because I was so heavy into sports and thought that’s what I’d be doing in life. So I’d keep it to myself, it wasn’t until I got a little bit older and gained a little more confidence that I started kickin’ rhymes around people. You know rapping in the lunch room at school, on the back of the bus with my teammates going to away games, or just chilling with the homies. I’ve always been very competitive so naturally I want to be the best at anything that I’m passionate about. I started to develop a heavy passion for music around 16/17 when I felt the most alone in my life, once I found out I could use it to cope and inspire, i knew it was what I WANTED to do for the rest of my life. When a classmate of mine came up to me and said he’d showed his mom one of the first songs I ever put out on YouTube, and she started crying, I knew it was what I was MEANT to do! I like to be involved in the whole creative process, after all it is my art. This is why I picked up other skills to help round out my artistry. Therefore I am also a producer, engineer, and videographer. Not saying I have all these things down to a tee, but I’m still learning and it’s fun to tackle new things.
