Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, but travels between Austin, TX, and Milton, Ontario occasionally, Ike Rivers writes from a place of heartfelt emotion. Blending introspective storytelling with the raw edges of indie folk and alt-rock, Ike’s music feels both personal and universal, with echoes of words you think of but never say or a text you never sent. With a sound that echoes honesty and influences from his favorites, such as Noah Kahan, John Mayer, and Bez Idakula, Coldplay, Bon Iver, Hazlett, Asa, among many others, Ike pairs heartfelt lyrics with moody acoustic textures and soaring melodies.
