Iris Sodai

Iris Sodai is a singer, songwriter, and producer who tells stories through my music. Sometimes, it's my story. Sometimes, it's others. As a multi-genre artist, I use my love for mythology, religion, philosophy, Japanese folklore (Yokai; 妖怪) and emotion to express theories that were once childlike, bringing curiosity from the world of the unknown. Iris, meaning 'rainbow' in Greek, is the Greek goddess of the Rainbow and messager of the Gods. Born from Olympus, I come down to Earth to tell my Olympians the stories of the world. Sodai 壮大 「そうだい」means magnificent. While living in Japan, I fell in love with folklore and tradition.
