About

Entering the 2023 campaign with his heartbreak ballad “Where Do We Go From Here”, young Las Vegas native Iziyah Casey’s lyricism and emotion-filled vocals are taking the music world by storm. Being compared to artists such as Khalid, Ed Sheeran, and Cliton Kane, Casey has developed his sound with every release. Experimenting within multiple genres such as pop, indie, folk, and R&B, his audience is taken on a journey as soon as they press play. Born out of Seattle, Washington, Iziyah has always been surrounded by music. Icons such as Michael Jackson and Prince were on repeat growing up, and largely inspired a lot of the music the young artist makes. Participating in marching band and glee clubs, Iziyah’s talent became evident entering high school years. He learned how to play several instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, trumpet, bass, saxophone, and flute, as well as began partaking in musical theater. Being cast in roles like Chad in “High School Musical: On Stage” and Dean Hyde in the Elvis musical “All Shook Up”, Casey soon cemented himself as a triple threat who can sing, dance, and act. 2022 was the birth of Iziyah Casey’s artistry. His debut single, “Crush”, released the summer of his senior year, and became the local song of the summer. Introducing himself as an upbeat, energetic music maker, his following EP “Song About Her” showed a much more vulnerable side to the artist. Straying away from his previous “synthwave” style, he began experimenting with a more raw, acoustic sound, most prominent in his stripped down single “Young” (2022). Listeners quickly flocked to hear more from the upcoming singer-songwriter, comparing him to artists such as Ed Sheeran and Clinton Kane. Continuing to embrace a more authentic sound, Iziyah Casey started off 2023 with “Where Do We Go From Here”, which quickly became a heartbreak anthem for his generation. Currently at the University of Nevada- Las Vegas, Iziyah Casey plans to release music more consistently, and exclaims that what’s coming next is going to “blow people’s minds”. His last release came in the form of a delicate love song, “Silly Things”, and serves as an introduction to an entirely new story the artist is ready for the world to hear.
