J 1:9 is a collection of music focused on message-driven, biblically sound, genre-crossing innovation represented by Team Jesus Collection - a ministry sharing The Truth through music, messages and movies. The Name J 1:9 - is inspired by Joshua Chapter 1 verse 9. J 1:9 challenges the norms of the music industry by prioritizing life transformation over live performance and truth over trend through songs that carry one mission: to make the message louder than the culture. The variety in genres and vocal styles makes J 1:9’s music unique while focusing on the lyrics and the message in the songs, not a particular artist. This is only the beginning and we know it's going to be a great journey. Joshua Burris is the Songwriter and Producer for J 1:9 and the Founder of Team Jesus Collection. His lyrics are original AND intentional (he loves this part of the process the most). With a lot of hard work and over 20 years of songwriting, it's time for his music to be shared with the world. Joshua strongly believes whatever we allow into our minds, ears and eyes has a huge impact on how we live and experience life because these areas largely shape what kind of person we become.
