Jamaar Milton, known professionally by his birth name, is a hip-hop and soul artist hailing from Freeport, NY. His music is characterized by authentic conscious hip-hop with no gimmicks, earning praise for its raw bars & classic sound. Jamaar's unique talents extend beyond just rapping; he can play multiple instruments, produce & engineer. His collaborations and co-signs read like a who's who of legendary hip-hop, including names like Planet Asia, Mu Mu Fresh, and Joey Bada$$. His latest project “X” features collaborations with the legendary Lord Jamar of Brand Nubian on production as well as iconic DJ Sol Messiah. A certified Kemetic Priest and Death Doula, Jamaar made history as the first artist to perform in Africa on the Nile River. Later within the same year he played at the Legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY alongside Jim Jones, 5Mics & Bobby Shmurda. Besides his musical endeavors, he founded "The Lighthouse," an organization dedicated to reconnecting people with their African roots and promoting African history and culture.
