Jasey Cordeta

Jasey Cordeta is also known in the music industry locally as Lil $wag or J.Young. Is an American Gangster Rap artist from Portland, OR with Black, Filipino and Puerto Rican roots. He was born in San Pedro of Los Angeles CA because his mom was from Rancho Project Housing. His father was an immigrant from The Philippines. Cordeta began writing and recording in 2002 but began rising as a teenager doing shows with artists such as Dead Prez, Immortal Technique and Eminem's group D-12 and going on to work with legendary west coast artists Dubee and J Diggs of Mac Dre's infamous Thizz Nation camp and Jim Jone's Byrd Gang West sector in his early 20's. At age 21, while working on various projects, Cordeta ran into trouble with the law, landing him in prison for 7 years, after shooting a man in a home invasion robbery. He has since returned, a changed man, focused on using his musical talents to live positive and inspire others to do so as well. Since coming home he has released a number of music videos, records and projects. He has recently performed with artists such as Yuk Mouth "Mr. I got 5 on it", Mike Jones "who?!" and Haiti Babii.
