Jay Starr

Jay Starr wants to connect with anybody who listens to his music. His combination of complex Lyricism, yet groovy melody doesn’t just become another song that you hear, it becomes an Experience. Whether his songs talk about love or chasing a bag, Jay Starr makes sure to display real life occasions which make the experience more relatable and enjoyable. Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Jay Starr was introduced to music at the age of 5 sitting behind the drummer of his churches choir. Through the years, music started to take a special place on his heart. At the age of 11 he wanted to join his churches choir but was denied because they thought he was just a regular kid wanting to make noise. Discouraged, he decided to take matters into his own hands and teach himself every instrument that he could grab. It all started with the piano, then it moved on to the drums, then from the drums to the guitar, and so on and so on. It was December 25th 2014 his dad bought him a late 2008 MacBook Pro which sparked the idea of actually recording and creating music. Though this time he had help with local producers and engineers who actually believed in him. Jay Starr was determined to learn and become who he is today. On February 24th 2018 Jay Starr posted his first ever YouTube video which he thought no one would ever pay attention too, but little did he know that YouTube video started everything for him. Jay Starr started his career with his actual name which is Jason Sanchez, later on in his career he decided to pick up his stage name which is now Jay Starr. Jay Starr would keep on working and later on drop his first single which could found on all platforms titled “I met you” which carried on and led to his last single using his actual name titled “by any means”. Jay Starr has come a long way as being a full time dad and having a full time job takes a toll on having time to create music, he still finds a way to put out musical experiences. Jay Starr is determined to live his dream as a musician, producer, artist, but most importantly a provider for his family. This is Jay Starr, come and join him on his journey.
