Looking to expand the horizons of the hip-hop industry with his raw, influential lyrics, Jaydaboo is breaking out as an independent artist in 2020. Born, Jarris Dewayne Brooks, in Birmingham, Alabama, Jaydaboo and founder of SkreetSmart Ent. (2019), has always had a love for music. He found himself in love at first listen when he heard the song “First of the Month” by Bone Thugs and Harmony. After taking internet to the music at age 11 with his siblings and cousins, Jaydaboo started to do overlay recordings on cassette tapes his mother had laying around the house. As he basks in his love for music he saw his love for it as being compassionate enough to make a career out of it. With musical influences from T.I.P. Harris, Gucci Mane, and Bank Roll Fresh to name a few, Jaydaboo defines his sound to that of no other. He’d rather allow his sound be identified by his audience so that they can interpret their own experience for themselves. His own clarification of his music would be a “mystical, or universal experience” as you never know what you will get from the artist. In 2019, Jaydaboo developed SkreetSmart Ent. in hopes of creating an environment, or platform, for other independent artist such as himself and his peers, to be able to exude their music confidently and freely. His hopes are to evolve his brand into an influential safe haven and monument in the music industry. Jaydaboo will break out with his first single on all platforms on January 31st 2020, with a piece called “Eyes Closed”. You can expect much more in the coming months from this young artist along with a premiere into cinema with a film called “Stray”, written and directed by his good friend and peer Sean Keyz in late 2020.
