JIGGY, born Brandon Roots Jr. on February 13, 1998, is a Richmond, VA native now based in Miami, FL. Music runs deep in his bloodline—his grandparents on his father’s side were musicians and vocalists for the legendary Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Inspired early, he picked up drums at age three and later learned piano from his father by age ten. By fourteen, he was producing his own beats in FL Studio, selling his first one at sixteen. His dedication to craft earned him acceptance into Full Sail University after submitting a music demo, though his time there ended in 2018.
That setback became a turning point. JIGGY began working at a studio in Longwood, Florida, where he secured his first major placement with former YNW Melly affiliate JGreen. More opportunities followed, ultimately helping him surpass 17 million streams across platforms as a producer. Although he has been creating his own music for years, JIGGY is only now choosing to step into the spotlight as a recording artist—bringing with him a lifetime of musical roots, resilience, and raw skill.
