Born on August 14, 1986, in Charleston, South Carolina, Jordan Lewis goes by the stage name JL. With an interest in music since he was a teenager, JL displays the lyrical ability and prowess of many of the artists that he was inspired by while growing up such as Lloyd Banks (G-Unit), Joe Budden, Eminem, Fabulous, Cassidy, Jadakiss, and more. JL speaks about the hardships that he has faced and continues to face throughout his life with an unapologetic depth and genuine sincerity with the hopes of being able to convey a message that anyone who listens to his music can relate to. He is beyond capable of crafting a variety of rap, hip-hop, and R&B tracks that can blend seamlessly into the sound of today’s music via a nostalgic flow while also staying true to himself and the era of music he grew up on.
