Joseph Quiles

Born and raised in New Jersey, Joseph Quiles "JQ" is a smooth jazz artist, arranger, and producer with over a decade of experience performing and creating music. His musical journey began in the church, where he discovered his gift for music at a young age. As a teenager, he was honored to be part of the prestigious Herbie Hancock Institute’s high school program, where he had the opportunity to perform alongside jazz greats like Jimmy Heath, Antonio Hart, and Tim Green. Those experiences helped shape his foundation as both a musician and performer. After high school, JQ continued his studies at Essex County College before launching his career in the music industry. Today, he is active both as a recording artist and a live performer, blending his soulful roots with a polished, contemporary sound. In 2024, he released his first single, a smooth jazz rendition of the holiday classic "Joy to the World," marking an exciting milestone in his journey as a solo artist. In addition to his work as a solo artist, JQ is a sought-after bassist and performer in New York City's vibrant cover band and wedding scene. Whether on stage, in the studio, or arranging for live shows, JQ brings passion, creativity, and heart to every project he touches.
