Born in Sacramento CA , the California native discovered his love for music at the early age of 3 years old playing the drums. Being raised in the church, gospel music was his first language and his gateway into other genres including the one he's apart of now, Hip Hop. The rapper / singer songwriter released his first song on Soundcloud out of boredom in 2020 and quickly realized the potential of his artistry. He never truly revisited this discovery until 2022. His ability to effortlessly make catchy hooks and melodies was something he knew he could expand on going forward. The following year, Josh P began to actualize his dream of becoming a well respected artist and began releasing singles at the start of 2023. May 24th 2023, Josh P released his first attention grabbing catchy single "Vamonos" which garnered a lot of new attention online and buzz around his name. He quickly capitalized and continued to show consistency releasing undeniably ear catching singles back to back consisting of songs such as "Wake Up" & "Stunna Gurl" (named after the beloved Sacramento rapper). Building up both momentum and attention simultaneously, Josh P went on a barrage of open mic appearances and show appearances around his city spanning from August to December, stirring more and more mystery and intrigue around his sudden and abrupt arrival into the music scene. The young hitmaker often described as a breath of fresh air to the scene combines pop rap, gospel, and RnB while flaunting smooth effortless flows full of confidence which brings a sound truly unique to his caliber. Josh P plans to make his true stamp in his arena with his upcoming debut mixtape slated to release in 2024 titled "Young & Restless".
