About
Born and raised in southern Virginia, June KO grew up surrounded by music, playing instruments and watching his family perform gospel. Now serving as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army with 20 years of service, he has carried that same discipline and passion into his artistry. His performances have reached audiences across the country, from Hawaii and California to Washington, Colorado, and North Carolina.
Influenced early on by hip-hop legends like Nas, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., and Scarface, June’s sound has evolved alongside the culture. Today, he draws inspiration from artists such as J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Kevin Gates, and Bruno Mars, blending sharp lyricism with soulful energy. Guided by his favorite quote— *“I would rather shoot for the moon, because if I don’t make it, at least I’ll be amongst the stars”*—June KO continues to create music that reflects resilience, ambition, and authenticity.
