Growing up in the area known as Handsworth kayy saw there’s alot of paths to take but he saw playing Professional basketball or music would be where he would excel at. Kayy starting producing from as early as 7 years of age. Hip hop being khaleif’s go to genre from as long as he could remember. Khaleif states he remembers taking his moms Talib Kweli’s Eardrum CD from her car and trying to burn it to his PC just because he was so in tune. Khaleif says his influences are Wu Tang Clan, Big L, MF DOOM, Moorish delta 7, Slick Rick, Biggie, Big Daddy Kane, Onyx, Canibus, Kool G Rap, Kanye West, Sean Price, Das Efx, Big Pun and many more.
