Antonio White is what you might call a Hip Hop enigma. Going by the moniker Kanin, he is a multi-talented vocalist and rapper who is at the fulcrum of an evolving hip-hop scene. To be frank, Kanin is just different, uniquely wired, he has never been afraid to break the rules, stand on his own, and push the boundaries of our perception. His deeply layered bars and well-crafted production speaks to his diverse musical inspirations, most notably Bob Marley, Tupac, DMX, and Curtis Mayfield just to name a few. Born and raised in Compton Ca, Kanin witnessed street life up close and personal. Never a stranger to life’s setbacks and pitfalls, his drive, focus, and tenacity led him on the a path of a hustler. But through street smarts and life lessons Kanin has turned himself into quite the entrepreneur, he and his partner’s Kojja and Jay Dnairo founded the independent record label WinWin Music as a vehicle to express himself creatively. Driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, and tell his story his way, Kanin writes lyrics that draw from his experiences and shared perspectives that connect with audiences across any spectrum. This all culminates in Kanin producing an enjoyable, and easygoing musical experience that is authentic and grounded in reality. As an artist, Kanin has multiple projects in his catalog, namely “I Go by the Name Kanin Vol. 1 & 2”, “Old School New Sense”, and “8ight”. He also has notable projects with Multi-Grammy winning platinum producer “DemJointz” on the single “One Man” and “Swish” as well as a collaboration with childhood friend Kendrick Lamar on the single “Winners Circle”. Kanin will be releasing a steady stream of “Ear Candy” and visual content throughout 2021, which will showcase his distinct lyrical content and rap style.
